Job Title: Technical Administrator
Location: Keighley/Skipton Area (On-site a few days a week)
Contract Duration: 6 months (20 hours per week depending on client needs)

Our client is a leading chemical manufacturing company committed to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety in all operations. As part of their ongoing efforts to streamline internal processes and improve compliance, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to assist with the development, organization, and updating of quality management systems and health & safety documentation.
Role Overview:
The Technical Administrator will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company's quality and health and safety documentation. This will involve converting recipes and operational details into clear and structured templates to form standard operating procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate will work closely with different teams to clear existing backlogs and support the company’s efforts to upgrade and improve procedures as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take detailed recipes and operational processes from internal stakeholders and convert them into standardized templates for SOPs.
* Organize, format, and ensure consistency in the quality management and health & safety documents.
* Support the company’s ongoing efforts to clear the existing backlog of documentation and procedures.
* Work with the Quality and Health & Safety teams to ensure that all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the review and revision of existing documents to reflect current best practices and improve process efficiency.
* Help maintain and track the status of documents within the document control system.
* Assist with improving the overall organization and accessibility of critical documentation.
* Support in the upgrade of software tools and systems, with an emphasis on increasing automation and improving document workflow processes.
* Regularly liaise with relevant teams to ensure documents are current, accurate, and accessible.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a technical administration role, preferably within a manufacturing, chemical, or similar industry.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and health & safety documentation (knowledge of ISO standards is a plus).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document creation, organization, and reporting.
* Familiarity with creating or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is highly desirable.
* Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and manage documentation requests.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
* Experience with document management software or quality control systems is a bonus.
* Willingness to adapt to new systems and contribute to process improvement efforts.
Additional Information:
* This is a 6-month contract position, requiring 20 hours of work per week.
* There is flexibility around working hours and a possibility of contract extension depending on the company’s needs.
* On-site presence is required a few days a week to collaborate with the team and ensure accurate documentation management.
