The Archive is a valued and highly utilised in-house heritage resource centre; used across the business to authenticate brand claims and stories, support intellectual property requests, provide inspiration for new packaging development, advertising, and social media programs, and direct historical research to support the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and managing the physical archive and conserving archive documents, photographs, and bottles to ensure long-term protection and preservation.
2. Recording, cataloguing, scanning, and photographing archive records (e.g., documents, photographs, maps, plans, bottles, advertisements, etc.) and entering data into the archive database (AXIELL).
3. Populating and updating the Chivas Brothers Archive website and microsites (WORDPRESS) using archive records to prepare historical timelines as required for brands, distilleries, and facilities.
4. Working with departments from across the business (e.g., Marketing, Intellectual Property, Communications) and other Pernod Ricard Markets and external agencies to respond to requests to create superior heritage creative content for impactful innovation and drive competitive advantage.
5. Delivering responses to business needs in a timely manner by working in close coordination with the Business Units.
6. Leveraging digital tools by embracing online advocacy, education outreach, and online and in-person training and education of staff and external partners by providing heritage knowledge of key brands across the business.
7. Conducting historical research using web-based research facilities (e.g., newspaper archives, genealogy websites, etc.) and providing historical research and evidence to support brand claims and intellectual property cases.
What You Need
1. A graduate in archival science, history, library science, or archives and record management.
2. Experience in digital archiving (e.g., ADLIB/CALM/AXIELL).
3. Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels within the business.
4. Able to demonstrate analytical abilities: assimilates data quickly and is able to carry out appropriate analysis.
5. Organised.
6. A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
