Teaching Personnel is seeking resilient and compassionate individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants, working with young people who require emotional, social, and academic support to succeed in education. This role is specifically tailored for those comfortable working with students who have mental health needs and display challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils with mental health challenges and behavioural difficulties.
* Foster a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive emotionally and academically.
* Help pupils develop coping strategies, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
* Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored support plans for each student.
* Assist in maintaining a structured classroom setting to ensure effective learning.
Requirements:
* A resilient, patient, and understanding nature.
* Experience working with children or young people facing mental health challenges and challenging behaviour is desirable.
* Full-time availability (Monday to Friday).
* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
