This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager, with a background in Estimating, to join my client's team in Hampshire. They are a high-end house builder, who also sometimes work on some commercial projects.
As a BDM, your key responsibilities would be:
1. Promoting and selling the business
2. Seeking out and bringing in leads
3. Completing the PQQ process
4. Working on the tender submission
5. Coordinating the other departments to produce documents
6. Attending networking events
7. Marketing
As an Estimator, your key responsibilities would be:
1. Working as part of the pre-construction team
2. Reporting into the Estimating Manager
3. Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to put together detailed estimates
4. Being involved in the handover process as and when jobs are won and go live
Requirements:
1. Experience in a similar role, or experience in tender submissions with an ambition to work in Business Development
2. Experience with InDesign would be advantageous
3. Experience working in the construction industry
