Our client, a highly reputable and well-established Engineering company, is currently looking to recruit an experienced, dedicated, and efficient Mechanical Engineer to complete the assembly and testing of new products, inspection and refurbishment of existing products, and maintenance of company equipment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, duties include:
1. Assembly of a range of mechanical connectors and lifting tools
2. Operating HPUs, including stripping down and reassembling hydraulic cylinders
3. Operating power and hand tools (grinders, drills, belt sanders, etc.)
4. Maintenance of workshop equipment
5. Cleaning and maintenance of work areas
6. Carrying out safety inspections of equipment to comply with the company health and safety policy
7. Upholding company HSSEQ Procedures
8. Carrying out new equipment installation as required
9. Any other reasonable duties as requested within skillset
As a successful candidate, you will have prior experience within a mechanical engineering role with previous experience of working with hand and power tools. A full UK driving licence and Forklift/gantry crane certificates would be beneficial.
A highly analytical mind, exceptional problem-solving skills, understanding of hydraulic equipment and engineering drawings, attention to detail, and communication skills are also essential.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering would be a bonus.
