We are on the search for an experienced Product Design Engineer to join their team at their location based in Devon. Our client specialise in both internal and external bespoke products used for everyday use of your vehicle or boat needs. Job Profile:
We are looking for a Product Design Engineer with at least 3 years design service experience within Automotive or Consumer Electronics. You will be responsible for the following:
Working on projects from ideation through to mass production
Participating in research, design, prototype and testing
Understanding and reiterating feasibility of projects and concept ideas and relaying this onto both sales and OEM customers
Assembly of prototypes and completion of in-house product testing (in the test lab or on water)
Documentation of BOM's and tooling pricing to be reviewed
Dealing directly with local and international vendors and manufacturers
Generation of 3D renders and animationsKey Job Requirements:
As a Product Design Engineer, we are looking for the following to be considered:
Degree qualified in any of these subjects; Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Automotive Engineering
At least 3 years design service experience working on projects from ideation through to production
Portfolio is required with every application!
Proficient user of CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CREO etc.)
Experience in FEA, 3D rendering, sketching and product styling.
Experience in plastic injection molding, sheet metal design, rapid prototyping, model making, engineering machining experience etc.Company Benefits:
