The Role We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Director to take on the exciting challenge of building out an education recruitment business across the Midlands and North of England, under the Tempest Resourcing brand. Based in our Manchester office, you will take over management of our existing team servicing the North-West area, which is now in its second academic year. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of our operations in the Midlands, North-East, and North-West of England, laying the foundations for long-term success. You will oversee regional sales operations, drive revenue growth, and make an impact in supporting Tempest Resourcing’s goals as a key player in the education recruitment market across the country. Travel to our Head Office in London and across the designated regions will be required. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership: Grow, lead, and manage a high-potential sales team based in Manchester to cover the whole of the Midlands, North-East, and North-West. Set clear targets and provide hands-on mentorship to drive headcount and revenue growth. Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and secure positions on UK-wide Preferred Supplier Lists (PSLs). Develop long-term partnerships to position Tempest Resourcing as the recruitment partner of choice for educational institutions. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a growth-focused sales and partnership strategy to expand the business and achieve revenue targets. Analyse market trends and use innovative approaches to identify new opportunities. Client Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, delivering exceptional service and managing high-value accounts. Foster strong client relationships through regular engagement and strategic collaboration. New Business Development: Take a proactive approach to identify and secure new business opportunities with schools, academies, and educational organisations, helping to establish a robust client base for the region. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align efforts with overall business objectives. Collaborate on targeted campaigns and promotional strategies to support growth. Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership. Implement performance improvement plans as needed to ensure targets are achieved. Management: Recruit and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and success in this start-up-style environment. Requirements Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and business development within the education recruitment sector, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and management abilities, with experience overseeing sales teams and driving regional success. Relationship Building : Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills, with a history of establishing successful partnerships with MATs and securing PSL agreements. Strategic Thinker : Ability to develop and implement strategic sales and partnership plans, with a focus on long-term growth and market expansion. Communication Skills : Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. Market Knowledge : Deep understanding of the education recruitment market, particularly within the Midlands, North-East, and North-West of England. Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
