Kier Construction have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our North Scotland construction business based out of our Aberdeen office.
We have a strong pipeline of quality work across the North East of Scotland. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to be involved in construction projects that can range in value from £10M -to £50M + within education, leisure, healthcare, heritage and commercial.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent
What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will initially take on a vital role in ensuring the commercial success of a new build project just outside of the city centre, managing to financial close.
What will your day to day include?
* Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages, undertaking market testing.
* Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
* Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages, negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
* Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
* Managing final accounts.
What are we looking for?
The position of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
* You have experience working on 2 stage construction bids
* You can demonstrate strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions
* You have prior experience taking commercial lead on high value construction projects
* You are comfortable creating commercial reports for senior stakeholders
* You hold relevant academic qualification – Degree / HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Desirable)
