£400 - £450 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
About the role
Connex Education is in partnership with Primary schools across NG3, NG4 and NG5 who are looking for amazing teaching assistants on a regular relief cover basis.
As a successful Teaching Assistant, you will be matched to work within one or more of the many primary schools in and around Nottingham. You will be skilled to support with Phonics (Read, write inc) in the younger age groups and be adaptable to work up to support SATs preparation in the older year groups of Primary school. You will have a passion for improving children’s life chances and be an excellent guide for children to enjoy their time at school and reach their developmental learning goals.
Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of learning goals.

Person Specification
* Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
* Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
* Have behaviour management skills
* Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
* Be organised and reliable
* Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
* Willing to go the extra mile!
