Are you a Registered Nurse with experience in surgical nursing? Would you like more time to care for your patients with an average patient ratio of 1-5? Would you like to develop your skills in a modern and supportive environment?
Due to the launch of new services and an increase in patient activity we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients Team. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team and will manage a busy surgical list for the whole patient journey from admission to discharge.
This role is for 37.5 hours per week working 3 days per week between the hours of 07:00 – 20:30 Monday to Sunday.
This role is ideally suited to an NMC registered nurse with post-registration clinical experience who is passionate about delivering healthcare at its very best.
Role Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
* Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for your own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct.
* Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient needs.
* Act as a role model, promoting a learning environment.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care.
* Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Person Specification
* Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN.
* Have post-registration clinical experience.
* Be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues, and patients.
* Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
* Have good verbal and written communication skills.
* Hold a Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.
* Have experience in Medicine, surgery, orthopaedic or cardiac nursing.
* Have knowledge of BADS (British Association of Day Surgery).
