Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join Retail Protection Pricing team in Hove. We’re offering acompetitive base salary, great benefits and study support, as well as the opportunity to get involved with some exciting and cutting edge pricing work. What you'll be doing:
1. Developing and pricing new and existing products, by providing pricing expertise and any additional support as required.
2. Developing new pricing concepts, taking into consideration pricing trends within the market.
3. Monitoring and analysing market rates to identify strategies and tactics to improve market share and new business profitability.
4. Supporting with areas of product development, commercial deals, and pricing innovations.
5. Helping to develop and update data and models used within price optimisation.
6. Summarising performance of insurance products to present to senior management to aid in decision making.
7. Improving current processes through the utilisation of data analytics.
8. Maintaining appropriate documentation to support pricing procedures, analyses, decisions, processes, and controls.
Qualifications Who we're looking for:
9. A student actuary or data scientist (if you are an actuarial student we would be open to both those who are still studying towards IFoA exams and exam stoppers/leavers)
10. A couple of years of actuarial or data science experience – preferably in a commercial pricing and/or life insurance capacity.
11. Strong IT and programming skills, with experience of Python, R, SQL and Excel being preferrable.
12. Knowledge/experience of Prophet would be an advantage, but is not required.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
14. Ability to develop and recommend ideas.
15. Ability to work independently, under time pressure with minimal supervision.
