The Regulatory Affairs Specialist manages and resolves issues that impact the Group's business, developing and executing strategy/policy positions when it comes to engaging with government bodies, professional associations, and broader stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
1. Leads the management and mitigation of political, regulatory and legislative risks.
2. Directs the design and execution of public affairs strategy including timeline for engagement with KPIs.
3. Manages and maintains a network of retained public affairs agencies, external experts and policy professionals that the Group uses to further its goals and objectives.
4. Responsible for supporting development of evidence-based options, proposals and recommendations for major project objectives.
5. Provides expert advice into commercial and operational teams in support of regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
6. Directs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the Group.
7. Manages the continuous development of the existing framework to develop best practices for regulatory and government affairs.
8. Identifies, engages with and develops high-level contacts with 3rd party Groups including NGOs, civil society Groups, authorities, relevant associations and other Groups to advocate for the Group's strategic interests.
9. Mentors other Regulatory Affairs professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
10. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Regulatory Affairs.
