An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to work at Lyndon CMHT.
The Community Mental Health Team works with some of our most vulnerable people who are experiencing mental health crises and/or have a diagnosis of a severe and enduring mental health condition.
The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team as the medical secretary for a Lyndon CMHT consultant and their clinical team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced and confident Medical Secretary to undertake a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, the audio transcription for clinical letters, reports, case summaries and other correspondence as required by the consultant and the clinical team.
It is essential that applicants should be able to work on their own initiative, demonstrate effective organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload and process enquiries in a confidential and timely manner.

Essential
1. AMSPAR Diploma or Medical Terminology Qualification
2. GCSE English Grade C or equivalent
3. RSA II Typing/Text Processing plus significant relevant secretarial experience
Desirable
4. RSA III Typing/Word Processing
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
5. Significant admin/secretarial experience working in a health or equivalent environment
6. Significant experience of using Microsoft Office Packages including: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Publisher
7. Knowledge of good practice and systems of work within a secretarial/PA field
8. Experience of minute taking

9. Experience in working with people who suffer with Mental Health or other related problems
10. Experience of dealing with a range of disciplines and agencies
