Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to offer multiple vacancies for a Bank Outpatient Pharmacist where no two days will be the same!
We have different branches which you will rotate across, enabling you to develop your clinical knowledge in multiple specialties including Oncology, Paediatrics, Neurology, and more.
If you have never worked in a hospital setting before, you will be provided with the necessary training to help you succeed. The team is friendly, helpful, and supportive of one another, and by working collaboratively, we deliver a service that we are proud of. You will also work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team and will regularly engage with other healthcare professionals.
Please note that we are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, so one shift will consist of 1 x 9.5-hour shift (with a paid lunch break).

About Us
Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide the NHS Trust with the outpatient dispensing service at Royal Preston Hospital, Rosemere Centre (within Royal Preston Hospital), and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital.
Job Responsibilities
Duties to include but are not limited to:
* Adhere to the GPhC Code of Conduct, uphold the standards for Pharmacy Professionals, and support other team members to do so.
* Provide professional and legal clinical supervision in the dispensary.
* Undertake the role of the Responsible Pharmacist as required.
* Ensure pharmaceutical aspects of patient care are provided in accordance with national and local standards and guidelines to meet statutory obligations.
* Handle and resolve clinical queries.
* Support other members of the Pharmacy team to provide safe pharmaceutical care and ensure key performance indicators are met.
* Strive to ensure the customer has a positive pharmacy experience.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* MPharm degree or equivalent.
* Registered with GPhC.
* Royal Pharmaceutical Society membership.
Experience
* Fulfilment of mandatory continuous professional development requirements.
* Good understanding of the GPhC Code of Conduct and standards for Pharmacy Professionals.
* Previous hospital experience in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
