Pay: £160-£210 per day

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Barnet. This full-time, long-term role is set to begin in January 2025 and will cover a maternity leave through to July 2025. The Year 5 class is a delightful group of children, and you’ll be supported by a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant who works with a visually impaired student, ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed. You will have the opportunity to teach in beautiful classrooms with excellent resources, making for an engaging and fulfilling teaching environment. As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across a variety of subjects, ensuring that every child makes excellent progress in line with their potential. A key part of this role is to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to excel.

Application Requirements:
• A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the personal and academic growth of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic teaching team.
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners within the Year 5 class.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Work closely with the 1:1 Teaching Assistant to ensure the visually impaired student is fully supported in their learning.
• Provide pastoral care, supporting students’ emotional and social development.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.
