Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 1pm (Work from home Wednesday & Friday) 37.5 hours including flexible working between 7:30 - 9:30 & 16:00 - 18:00.

Job Overview:
Our clients are at the forefront of designing and engineering advanced technology to support process development within the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop software aspects of machinery to a project specification and in line with the project schedule and budget.

Responsibilities:
Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
Design, implement & maintain PLC + HMI Software. (Siemens and Allen Bradley)
Direct and co-ordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
Prepare and study specifications of control systems to ensure that operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem and recommend remedial measures.
Develop budgets, estimating labour, material and construction costs. (Occasionally)
Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
IQ / OQ support on site. (Occasional)
Qualifications and Skills:
Software Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Siemens S7, TIA Portal
Win CC & SCADA Systems
Scripts VB/C
PLC & HMI
Organisation and prioritisation skills
Excellent IT skills including MS Office
This role will be office based but will require an incumbent to also work within our clients assembly area during a projects life cycle. Some travel to client sites may also be required including international travel from time to time (once or twice a year).
