About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will play a crucial role in helping students understand the complexities of the world, from physical landscapes to human societies. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire a love for geography. Key Responsibilities of Geography Teacher:
* Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
* Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support students’ learning and development.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student is achieving their potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
* Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire students, making learning enjoyable and effective.
* Keep detailed records of student progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents and relevant parties.
Requirements of Geography Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Prior experience in teaching geography or a related subject is essential.
* Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships within the school community.
* Deep commitment to helping students succeed, demonstrating patience and empathy.
* Relevant qualifications or training in geography education (desirable but not essential).
To work with GSL Education as a Geography Teacher, you will need:
* The right to work in the UK.
* An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* A DBS registered with Updated Service or willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
