Grafton Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing client who is seeking a BD Manager to join their team and oversee customer relations in the South West region.
Our client is looking to speak with candidates who have a background in construction and experience selling to national developers.
As BD Manager, you will be required to liaise with stakeholders in the commercial team, oversee a diverse range of product categories and collaborate with the wider salesforce on prospective opportunities.
THE ROLE:
Some of your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:
* Act as the key contact between the company and the territories customer base in order to exceed customer expectation.
* Address customer concerns related to products and services in a timely and efficient manner.
* Develop processes and strategies to drive sales and deliver excellent levels of customer service.
* To promote all products into developers which are in line with the company sales expectations.
* You will collaborate with other colleagues to maximise cross selling opportunities and support internal business functions.
* Prepare and execute sales and business expansion plans to support revenue growth.
* To achieve assigned activity goals and other defined targets.
* Stay up to date on the company products and market changes.
* To continually review sales data in order to support commercial activity whilst embracing emerging technologies to maximise opportunities within the sales cycle.
* Use software to maintain accurate records and provide reports.
THE CANDIDATE:
* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction product sales.
* Good understanding of the housing developer market and associated product knowledge.
* Knowledge of market and current industry trends.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to conduct face to face presentations with prospective customers.
* Effective time management.
* Highly self-motivated with strong resilience.
* The ability to use relevant computer applications, as well as creative, analytical and commercial thinking.
