Senior Sales and Reservations Manager
High End Restaurant
£50-55k plus great commission
Maximize revenue, profitability, and cost-efficiency in the Reservations & Events department. Oversee and train the reservations team to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. Facilitate seamless communication across front and back-of-house teams while actively promoting all aspects of the venue.
The Role:
* Oversee all processes related to venue reservations and associated software.
* Manage the reservations inbox, ensuring inquiries are responded to within a 4-hour timeframe.
* Optimise inquiry conversion and venue occupancy, laying the foundation for a smooth operational service.
* Promote the venue to local businesses, hotels, and tourism networks.
* Train and supervise the reservations team to uphold company standards and procedures.
* Respond promptly to incoming event and private dining inquiries (within 4 hours).
* Host professional site visits, ensuring the venue is always presented at its best.
* Act as a host for events as needed, fostering strong client relationships and overseeing smooth execution.
* Provide the operations team with detailed event schedules to ensure high-quality service.
* Manage group bookings with clear, professional communication throughout the booking process.
* Lead and manage the reservations team, delegating tasks for efficiency and maintaining smooth department operations.
* Deliver appropriate tools and training to enable excellent guest service.
* Conduct performance reviews and ensure team alignment with company policies.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within a high-end restaurant.
* Expertise in using SevenRooms and Tripleseat event software.
* Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to drive sales.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English.
* Charismatic, sociable, and approachable personality.
