Who we are looking for
A Creative Designer, who will be working on a variety of media that communicates our brand message and engages our target audience.
This role sits in the marketing and internal function within the Design and UX department, who are responsible for the design of internal tools, marketing support and communications. The team provides toolkits, assets and brand guidelines to enable others to use the creative direction effectively. They also deliver design work across all internal sites, systems, emails and documentation.
You will take the visual direction from the design leads to create graphics and designs for various projects. You will be the custodian of our toolkits and brand assets, providing feedback to others to ensure their integrity.
With a passion for graphic design, you will have excellent design fundamental skills such as visual concept development and branding consistency.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Background education in graphic design, with commercial experience in Web Design.
* Strong visual portfolio with graphic design and artwork.
* Competent in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
* Excellent understanding of design fundamentals such as typography and layout.
* Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing.
* Knowledge of HTML and CSS desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team.
* Ability to conceptualise new ideas, with the ability to proactively approach problem solving and learning.
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborating with others to understand concepts, Business requirements and the brand identity.
* Exploring ideas and realising concepts into cohesive and quality high-fidelity designs.
* Producing thorough designs that cover every possible scenario and platform.
* Iterating and refining work based on feedback from others.
* Adhering to brand guidelines and style guides where necessary to ensure consistency.
* Communicating effectively to display your designs and the rationale behind them.
* Embracing and reacting positively to feedback, new ideas and changing requirements, whilst staying abreast of the latest design trends, techniques and technologies.
* Contributing to design briefings, project meetings and design walkthroughs.
* Taking ownership of toolkits, artefacts and brand assets acting as a custodian.
* Managing and expanding our DAM library and Brand Guidelines portal for use by others.
