In line with JW Marriott Grosvenor House London policies and procedures, provide a pro-active and re-active maintenance service to the entire hotel under the guidance of the Director of Engineering and of the Chief Engineer. To maintain the following: The water supply system and associated pumps and controls, The Heating and Cooling system pipe work and associated pumps and controls, The Sanitary and drainage equipment and associated pumps and controls, The above will at all times be maintained in accordance with the local water bylaws and other regulations in force at the time.
Experience:
* Previous experience working within a Technical Services or similar environment preferred
Skills and Knowledge
* Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
* Innovative
* Pro-active and reliable
* Able to work alone and within a team
* Intermediate computer skills required
Education or Certification
* Good level of English essential
* Technical Engineering qualification preferred
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities in accordance with the company and departmental standards to all areas of the hotel. This will include guest bedrooms, public areas, and all main plant /machinery.
* To carry out regular testing and inspections of all hotel water distribution and drainage systems.
* To carry out statutory cleaning and disinfection of all guestroom and public area showerheads and any such spray attachments that may pose a risk to legionnaires disease.
* Protect the assets of the hotel and company to include any items of uniform and company tools issued.
* Be conversant with all maintenance department policies and procedures.
* Participate within the engineering shift rota pattern.
* Participate within the operation of the emergency attendance call-out facility.
* Comply with all current relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time.
* Perform all duties professionally, promptly, and efficiently.
