Position: Teaching assistant (SEMH school)
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time
Salary Details: £21,.72 per annum

The ideal candidate will:
1. Supervise and support students in both the classroom and off site in the community.
2. Effectively assist the teacher to plan learning activities.
3. Build and maintain positive professional relationships with staff and young people.
4. Encourage and motivate students to learn and develop.
5. Ability to demonstrate good communication skills including the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly.
6. Support students in small group and on a 1-2-1 basis.
7. To enable students to participate in learning activities by providing support, as appropriate for their specific difficulties.
8. Produce legible, accurate and prompt written reports/records.
9. To help students access the national curriculum including developing their. literacy and numeracy skills.
