Position: Care manager Location: Dalkeith, Edinburgh Responsible to: Executive Director Hours: 40 per week (flexible) Salary: In the region of £42,000 per annum, depending on experience Contract: 2-year fixed-term post Are you a compassionate leader with a background in healthcare? A care home in Dalkeith is looking for a dedicated Care Manager to lead the team and provide high-quality care in a warm and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Provide clear operational management and strategic leadership, ensuring a positive ethos is embedded throughout the care provided. Care Quality: Lead a team of care workers to deliver high-quality care that meets Care Inspectorate and SSSC standards. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all care practices comply with current regulatory standards, including quality assessments and statutory obligations. Staffing: Oversee recruitment, staff development, and management, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and the professional growth of team members. Health & Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and security of residents, staff, and visitors, adhering to all relevant Health and Safety legislation. Finance & Budgeting: Work closely with the Executive Director on budget preparation and ensure efficient resource management. Resident Engagement: Regularly meet with residents to ensure their voice is heard, incorporating their desires and ideas into their care plans. Requirements: Qualifications: SVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification, including a Registered Nurse. Experience: Proven background in healthcare, staff supervision, and care management. Skills: Strong understanding of the care sector, local authority services, and funding allowances. Additional: Full clean driving licence, full DBS clearance, and an appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the care home. What Is Offered: Competitive salary in the region of £42,000 per annum.
