JWR are delighted to be working with a prominent 4-star hotel group with a well-established presence across the UK, renowned for their dedication to excellence in hospitality. As they approach the pre-opening phase of a new luxury hotel in the East Midlands, we are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our Human Resources team, early next year 2025.
This role is an exciting opportunity to shape the foundation of a premium hotel by implementing key HR practices and fostering a strong, engaged workforce.
About the Role
As an HR Manager, you will take on a generalist role, ensuring that all aspects of HR operations align with the groups core values and policies. You will be instrumental in driving recruitment, training, and employee engagement, creating a workplace culture that promotes excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recruitment & Selection: Lead the process to attract and onboard top talent, ensuring the hotel is staffed with high-calibre professionals.
* Training & Development: Cultivate a culture of learning and growth, delivering training initiatives that support team engagement and development.
* Compliance & Legislation: Ensure all employment practices comply with UK legislation and eligibility requirements.
* Employee Relations & Payroll: Manage employee relations, maintain accurate personnel records, and oversee payroll using HR software systems.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven Experience: A background as an HR Manager in a 4-star hotel environment, ideally with pre-opening experience.
* CIPD Qualification: Preferred, but not essential if you have significant experience in hotel HR operations.
* Strong Skills in Recruitment & Training: Expertise in building and developing high-performing teams.
* Compliance Knowledge: A thorough understanding of employment legislation and compliance standards.
* Excellent Communication Skills: A track record of effectively managing employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
