Laboris Solutions are pleased to be working with a long standing client who is looking for someone who is hands on and can lead a team of skilled technicians to manage and co-ordinate all production cells to ensure high levels of productivity, quality, and efficiency. Supporting Assembly Technicians to resolve operational issues and developing a multi-skilled and high performing production team. Work cross functionally ensuring all barriers are removed to enable production and quality targets.
Main responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day production, ensure works orders are made available to the lines, and daily targets are achieved.
2. Manage production resources, holiday planning, planned absence cover, training cover, etc.
3. Recognise training and development needs.
4. Maintain training records.
5. Encourage and champion Continuous Improvement.
6. Run daily production standup meetings and team briefings.
7. Work cross functionally to ensure production targets are achieved.
8. Ensure tools, work instructions and work environment are maintained to a 6S standard.
9. Ensure all materials are available to support targets.
Skills, knowledge & experience
1. Experience of managing teams and individuals within a production or manufacturing setting.
2. Good understanding of stock control.
3. Highly organised, able to co-ordinate and oversee completion of multiple tasks.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate with people at all levels.
5. Able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines, managing different customer needs.
6. Problem solver - Tackles problems proactively and comes up with ways to resolve or improve the situation.
