About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll Team based in our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire. You will be part of a dedicated team who together administer payroll for our Vets practices consisting of approximately 9,000 colleagues and growing, providing an efficient and effective payroll service. Key responsibilities;
1. Part of team processing timely, compliant, and accurate payroll for c9000 vet practice colleagues on a four-weekly basis across a number of payrolls.
2. Calculating SSP and Company sick pay entitlements.
3. Calculating statutory entitlements.
4. Processing AOE and CSA deductions.
5. Processing P45s and New Starter Checklists.
6. Assessing colleagues for inclusion into the company pension scheme in line with auto-enrolment.
7. Reconciliation of pension contributions files prior to submission to pension provider.
8. Query management and resolution to deliver first class service to our colleagues.
9. Support the processing of P11d returns using 3rd party software.
Skills required
10. Previous experience of administering payroll within an office environment is essential.
11. You will have a good understanding of current payroll legislation.
12. Previous experience of using SAP payroll solution is an advantage but not essential.
13. The successful candidate should be well organised, work to a high level of accuracy and have keen attention to detail.
14. To ensure we deliver a first class service, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills.
15. You will be required to be computer literate in Word, Excel & Outlook.
16. You should be an honest and trustworthy individual who is able to comfortably handle confidential information & adhere to all GDPR legislation.
