Buyer – Worksop - £30,000 - £35,000 - 12 month Fixed term Contract
Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a leading client within the Rail sector as they look to recruit a Buyer to support their procurement team for a period of 12 months.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for cost, quality, delivery and overall financial performance of external suppliers’ scope versus budget on assigned projects.
Buyer Responsibilities:
* Ensure Purchasing Policy, processes and tools are known and followed by local stakeholders
* Take charge of Capex/General operations purchasing expenses within the site
* Ensure the reliability and performance of procurement data in the ERP
* Conduct supplier audit
* Realise cost savings through sourcing activities, implement global and local contracts
* Responsible for savings reporting, control and follow-up
* Drive and measure supplier performance; manage local supplier base
* Preparing and negotiating relevant agreements for Site Operational Spend
* Claim Management and follow up on Penalties in projects/contracts in cooperation with other team members
Hours: Full time Monday – Friday
Required skills & experience:
* Strong analytical, negotiation & communication skills
* Supplier performance management experience
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,
* Microsoft Dynamics experience (highly desirable)
* Rail/Engineering/Aerospace/Automotive background (highly desirable)
