Job Description
Follow and deliver Home Instead training and induction programmes in accordance with legislation and current industry best practice inclusive of Company Policy and Procedures.

To act as an ambassador for Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley
Primary Duties which could include, but are not limited to:
1. Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation
2. Deliver appropriate training programs externally to stakeholders
3. Advising Senior Management of any changes to the training we provide which may be required to meet legislative requirements.
4. Arranging and providing bespoke training updates for all staff
5. Assisting all staff with additional training support e.g. NVQ/QCF/SVQ
6. Keeping accurate training records for all staff
7. Support in accessing training from local funding sources
8. Assisting and contributing towards Quarterly Care Professional team meetings
9. Regular contact with all Care Professionals through mentorship programme and QA process
10. Support with Observational Monitoring/Spot Checks as and when required
11. Support with Care Professional Inductions including observations to assess competence in line with the Care Certificate
12. Support Care Professionals with personal development plans.
13. Regularly review and update with changes forwarded by National Office
14. Covering care shifts as and when required
15. Participate in out of hours “on call” rota
16. Provide up to date hand over for out of hours cover
Qualifications
2 years minimum professional experience in the Care Sector
Experience of training delivery
Good understanding of Microsoft Office programs i.e. word, excel, outlook etc.
Relevant teaching qualification - although training can be given
Level 3 Health & Social Care vocational qualification or equivalent (minimum)
Functional Skills (Maths & English) at Level 2 minimum
