Job Role - Special Needs Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant SEN school in Leeds. This full-time position, offered through Career Teachers, provides an excellent opportunity to support students aged 3-19 years with autism and additional learning needs. The role is designed with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with autism and additional learning needs.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
Monitor and record students' progress and development.
Support students during classroom activities, outings, and special events.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
Understanding of autism and strategies to support students with additional learning needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential).Benefits:
