Hanningfield manufactures powder handling machinery for critical industries such as pharmaceutical, food and nuclear. As an Electro-Mechanical Fitter, you work to engineering drawings to produce everything from sub-assemblies to full working machines. There is a significant degree of problem solving, but you can expect a high degree of variation and challenge. Key duties: Electro-mechanical assembly of machines in our factory. Proudly ‘Made in Britain’ and exported worldwide. Emphasis on quality and build integrity, with finished machines delivered to critical industries (medicine, food, nuclear etc). Problem solving and fault finding. Use of hand tools, forklift, lifting gantries etc. Completion of inspection documents to ensure product quality. Optional: sitework for installation of machinery at customer sites (domestic and international). Qualifications & Experience Electro-mechanical experience and knowledge. NVQ / BTEC / HNC / HND (or similar) in engineering related discipline. Significant weighting given to time-served apprentices. Preferable: e xperience across various other facets of manufacturing would be an advantage (e.g. lathes, mills, welding, pneumatics) Preferable: experience of electrical wiring and commissioning of PLC programs for control panels. Preferable: Driving license. Preferable: Forklift license.
