Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Compliance Analyst to develop and drive the Experian UK&I data governance and data management agenda.
This is a great role in which you will be working on a programme of work and have accountability for defining action plans for continuous improvement of our governance record keeping and operational control across the UK&I business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide specialist advice for projects and business change activities to ensure alignment to the Data Standards
2. Be a key stakeholder in the ongoing development of the UK&I Data Standards assuring alignment to global and regional policy and to evolving changes in the regulatory and legislative landscape.
3. Contribute to the ongoing adoption of the Data Standards by business stakeholders and influence the maturity and accountability of compliance to the Data Standards across the width of the UK&I business
4. Analyse identified processing and control activities at a thematic level and working with the Risk & Governance teams to develop remediation plans and help monitor these through to closure.
5. Create and maintain the Controls and Monitoring Assurance plan with clear MI to demonstrate progress, trends and to drive required outcomes.
6. Own and create the governance record keeping improvement plan and the deployment of enhanced operational controls, through changes to Data360 with supporting education and communication.
Qualifications
7. Knowledge of data management best-practice, including data governance, data security, data quality and security.
8. Up-to-date knowledge of policy frameworks and business process management.
9. Knowledge of risk management practices, audit, process, control management, and monitoring best practice.
10. Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to Data – e.g., Data Protection legislation.
11. Experience of making sound and far-reaching decisions on major issues, taking responsibility for them and implementing within the business whether in a technical, managerial, advisory or specialist role.
12. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels; can listen and influence and engage across an organisation with senior leadership.
