This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.
You will be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.
The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM's. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Accountabilities:
Safety
1. Comply with health & safety legislation and Company processes.
2. Complete specified reports and compliance documentation and take action on any issues raised.
People
1. Compliance with all of City policies and procedures.
2. Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
Service
1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job.
3. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
4. Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC supervisor with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
6. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
7. Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
Others
1. Carry out any reasonable management request.
2. Participate in on-call rota (1:4) to provide 24/7 cover.
Financial Responsibilities:
Responsibility of parts ordering, follow correct triage process to reduce unnecessary spend.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical Equivalent Qualification.
2. ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A as a minimum.
3. City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
4. City and Guilds 18th Edition.
5. Ability to service/maintain/repair/install a range of Mech & Elec HVAC plant & equipment.
6. A working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential.
7. Previous experience of developing client relationships would be advantageous.
8. Strong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating and presenting performance data along with a good understanding of the CAFM.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.
11. Strong results focus, takes accountability for own performance and that of the team.
12. Effective problem-solving and decision-making.
13. Highly flexible and self-starting. The role will have many challenges and a flexible approach will be needed.
