Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and ensuring the well-being and progress of our students.
Key Responsibilities for Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
1. Assist in planning and delivering lessons, small group activities, and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher.
2. Provide support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning experiences.
3. Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
4. Assist in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records of achievement.
5. Help to manage behaviour and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
6. Support the teacher in implementing the school's curriculum and policies effectively.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices for student development.
8. Take on additional responsibilities as required by the school leadership team.
Requirements for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
9. HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
10. Experience working in an educational setting, preferably within a primary or secondary school.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
12. A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of all students.
13. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
14. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
15. An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
