Job summary
To work as part of the EFM operational team, responsible for providing a comprehensive support service in the hospital environment. The primary function is to provide a high quality and effective security service for staff, patients and visitors to ensure a safe and secure environment. You will provide day to day leadership and direction to the Security Officers / CCTV Operators to ensure this is achieved.
Shift patterns will include weekends and nights where NHS Agenda for change enhance pay will be included.

Main duties of the job
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Direct the work of the officers and allocate staff resources to duties and activity on site as Ensure security staff arrive for work promptly and check they are dressed smartly, clean and wearing appropriate Responsible for the issue and control of all equipment provided to security staff including radios, body worn cameras, personal protection equipment and officer compliance Ensure staff are rostered with sufficient breaks and manage staff to maximise patrol duties avoiding unnecessary time spent in the control Carry out formal hand over at the start and end of shift to identify any ongoing issues for attention and brief own team Ensure the control room is clean and tidy at all Complete and distribute the 24-hour Ensure all incidents are reported on Datix and restraint forms are completed as soon as practically Provide induction training to new members of staff and provide ongoing training to team members on work procedures and safe use of Ensure all security staff are aware of the contents of the site assignment instructions.
