Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for making a positive impact on people's lives? A family is seeking an experienced and empathetic individual to support a middle-aged gentleman, enabling him to live independently in his own home.
Schedule required:
Every Monday (1 hr morning, 2 hrs lunch, 1 hr tea/dinner).
Every Alternate Friday (2 hrs tea/dinner).
Every Alternate Saturday (1 hr morning, 2 hrs lunch).
Every Alternate Sunday (1 hr morning, 2 hrs tea/dinner).
The role will include:
1. Personal care: Prompting and encouragement with getting dressed, washed, teeth brushing, and staying adequately hydrated.
2. Monitoring Health: Prompting client to take medication, reassuring client when anxious, and keeping a watchful eye on client’s health. Report any health concerns to family.
3. Meal Preparation: Help and encourage client to plan and prepare nutritious meals.
4. Companionship: Engage in conversations, companionship, recreational activities (including playing Dominoes, supporting artwork, and model building) and accompany client to appointments and on social outings (mileage at 45p/mile).
5. Light Housekeeping: Assist with light household chores, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment for client.
All training will be provided and PVG scheme membership may be required. Driver preferred but not essential.
