Parts Advisor
Cullompton
At Gregory Distribution, we have a vacancy for a Parts Advisor based at our Cullompton Depot. This position will involve working with 5 Gregory workshops across England and Wales.
The position of Parts Advisor involves:
1. Liaising with the Workshop team on ordering of parts required, checking any orders from the night shift technicians.
2. Managing the smooth delivery of parts and promptly notifying the workshop team upon their arrival.
3. Receipting the stock on Freeway.
4. Maintaining stock levels within the stock room and undertaking weekly stocktakes.
5. Conducting daily checks to ensure timely part arrivals and proactively liaising with suppliers for any delays.
6. Analysis of fast and slow moving stock, to discuss with Head of Fleet Maintenance.
7. On occasion, you may be required to collect emergency parts. This will involve using the workshop van.
8. Ensure the parts department is compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
Essential skills required for Parts Advisor:
9. Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers.
10. Basic understanding of mechanical components, either car or HGV.
11. Knowledge of Freeway system would be desirable.
12. Previous experience of database management.
13. Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
14. Ability to communicate at all levels.
15. MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

16. Salary for Parts Advisor is between £32,pa - £34,pa, depending on experience, based on working 40 hours per week.
