We are excited to announce a rewarding career opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist. This is a new post being created to expand our diabetes and endocrine team. We are looking for an enthusiastic well-motivated Consultant colleague to join the dedicated team of physicians at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Haywards Heath.

Main duties of the job
As a Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine, you will play a crucial role in our team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing expert clinical care to patients with endocrine conditions, both in an outpatient and inpatient setting. General and specialist diabetes and endocrine clinics tailored according to interests and expertise.
2. Collaborating with our multidisciplinary diabetes and endocrine teams
3. Working with colleagues across specialities to develop pathways and provide multidisciplinary care.
4. Participating in 1:4 rotational shared care of a diabetes/general medical ward.
5. Speciality consults and supervision of Speciality Registrars
6. 1:9 general medicine weekend, weekday and Bank holiday cover
7. Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to their development and training.
8. Contributing to audit, clinical governance and service development
9. Support participation in research and clinical trials
10. Participating in departmental meetings, case presentations, and teaching sessions for medical students and doctors in training.

Essential criteria
11. •Basic medical degree
12. •Appropriate specialist qualification (SCE Endocrinology)
13. •Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
14. •CCT in Specialty or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
15. •Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
16. •MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification
