Job description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join a multidisciplinary team in Tonbridge. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, working with individuals across various clinical settings to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions, developing individualised treatment plans.
* Implementing effective rehabilitation programs aimed at promoting recovery, independence, and improved daily living skills.
* Collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to set realistic and achievable goals.
* Delivering tailored therapeutic interventions, including adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and environmental modifications.
* Coordinating care across multi-disciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in line with professional standards and regulations.
* Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on self-management strategies and rehabilitation exercises.
Requirements:
* Degree in Occupational Therapy (HCPC Registered).
* Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience working with a diverse caseload in areas such as physical rehabilitation, mental health, or social care.
* Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
