As a Special Education Needs Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape the educational journey of students with a wide range of needs. Your role will be central to delivering high-quality, personalised education and ensuring each child’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities of the Special Education Needs Teacher:
* Develop and deliver personalised lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Regularly assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and strategies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
* Provide support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and develop important life skills.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
* Liaise with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child's progress and engage them in the learning process.
* Contribute to the development of the school’s SEN provision, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the students.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience as a Special Education Needs Teacher, with a deep understanding of different types of special educational needs.
* Passionate about making a difference and improving outcomes for students with SEN.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
* Adaptable, with the creativity and patience to meet the unique needs of each student.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
