Typical day as a Senior Technical Building Safety Manager
1. Leading a small team of Technical Building Safety Managers, Assistants, and Apprentices to ensure building safety compliance.
2. Overseeing building safety investigations and major remedial works, making sure projects are on time and within budget.
3. Working with contractors to resolve fire risk actions quickly and efficiently.
4. Ensuring new buildings are free of safety defects and maintaining high quality standards.
5. Providing expert technical support to our Development and Technical Quality teams on design and specifications.
6. Collaborating with the Building Safety Directorate and other colleagues to reduce the number of high-risk buildings in our portfolio.

Youbring
7. Substantial experience in project management, particularly with residential developments, design standards, and contractor management.
8. In-depth understanding of the planning system and laws to ensure compliant schemes.
9. Degree level education or equivalent experience in surveying, building, or a related field, and a professional qualification.
10. Proven ability to manage and lead a team, ensuring performance excellence.
11. Strong organisational and driving skills to manage projects effectively.
12. Excellent influencing and communication skills to build rapport and drive change.

14. You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we’re ok with that!
15. This is a hybrid role(if you leave near a regional hub office) andyou’ll spend 2 days in the office, and time working at home. If you live further afieldyou’lllikely be a home worker.
16. You will be asked to travel on occasion but this will be for team meetings etc and will not be a regular thing.
17. Able to use technology for collaborating with colleagues, completing yourtasks and training.
