Your new role:This full-time role involves teaching across Years 1 to 6, five days a week. You will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, and delivery of lessons tailored to meet diverse learning needs. With class sizes between 20 and 30, you will have the support of qualified teaching assistants to help you provide an engaging and well-structured learning experience. Together, you’ll create an environment that is not only safe but also stimulating and inclusive for every pupil. You’ll be working towards fostering academic success while encouraging curiosity and participation from your students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Crafting and delivering engaging lesson plans in line with the school curriculum
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a dynamic, team-oriented learning atmosphere.
- Creating an inclusive and interactive classroom ;
- Assigning relevant homework to reinforce classroom learning.
- Encouraging pupils to actively participate and develop critical thinking skills.
- Leading classroom discussions, offering guidance, and maintaining a positive learning culture.
What you’ll need to succeed:
To excel in this role, you must be a qualified teacher (holding a valid QTS) with a passion for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. Prior experience working with children aged 3-11 is essential, and you must demonstrate the ability to adapt your teaching strategies to cater to various learning current DBS check is required, or you must be willing to complete one. Your success will also be supported by key personal attributes such as enthusiasm, empathy, reliability, and strong time management skills. The ability to remain calm and composed in the classroom will be crucial in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
