We have an opportunity for an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner
To join their team of staff in the Endoscopy department. This is a full-time role for hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Your new role
1. To provide quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway, supporting and assisting the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in the management and organisation of care provision within the endoscopy unit.
2. Provide quality planned care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within their own scope of practice.
3. To participate in the improvement in Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services including decontamination and clinical care.
4. To develop and enhance your own skills and knowledge.
5. Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
6. Respect the patient’s dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs.
7. Participate in departmentalmunication, policy development, and continuous quality improvement and meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Experience of leading a clinical team
9. Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
10. Basic and advancedpetence / qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
11. Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
12. Teaching / Assessing / mentorship qualifications Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Qualitymission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01 -06).
13. ILS.
14. Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
15. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
