:
1. Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Materials Planners, fostering their continuous growth and development
2. Share proven strategies and serve as a knowledgeable resource in Materials Planning within the business unit.
3. Use the MPS/MRP feature in the ERP system to facilitate materials planning and ordering.
4. Handle key item settings in the ERP system to ensure accurate system functionality
5. Monitor and reconcile exception messages
6. Collaborate with suppliers to manage material delivery dates and optimize production plans
7. Recognize and report backorders or supplier performance issues to the Procurement Team
8. Provide accurate component forecasts and support strategic sourcing processes
9. Generate inventory projections and reporting for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods
10. Contribute to Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) Meetings
11. Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence
12. Collaborate with various departments to minimize schedule changes within the frozen window
13. Engage in continuous improvement activities
14. Support expansion and harmonization projects
15. Provide backup support for other team members
Qualifications:
16. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
17. Demonstrated proficiency in Procurement, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain
18. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using Excel
19. Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts, finite scheduling, product flow, and supply chain planning
20. Experience with MRP/ERP and APS systems (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, M2M, server-based systems)
21. Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
