Our Client in Portishead is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. This is a new position which has been recreated to the recent expansion of the business.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the Warehouse Team working collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Sales Office Manager, and Service Centre Manager. The role is a supervisory role, and as such, you are expected to lead by example in work ethic, timekeeping, and all duties performed.
The Warehouse Supervisor role is a key position within the company to meet customer expectations regarding quality and speed of both service and delivery. It is the responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor to input into and consequently support relevant key performance indicators for the operations function.
The Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for all goods in and out, including relevant quality control procedures. The role will also manage the physical aspect of stock management, liaising with the Operations Manager regarding stock-taking and warehousing.
It is expected that the Warehouse Supervisor will work together with the Operations Manager to ensure all customers' logistics and delivery expectations are achieved where possible. This may include special requirements on a customer-by-customer basis.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the relevant parts of the company quality management system (QMS) are communicated and adhered to by the team. In addition, the role is responsible for the general condition, safety, security, tidiness, and professional impression of the Warehouse areas. This includes liaising with the Operations Manager to ensure any necessary repairs and periodic cleaning and maintenance are conducted.
This role may involve travel across the UK and occasional trips to the company sites in Germany, which may require being away from home on occasion.
Experience and Skills

5. Good understanding of IT systems
6. Experience understanding and working with operational KPIs
7. Understanding of technical products
8. Hold a full UK driver's licence
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
