A great opportunity has arisen for a Chemical Lab Technician to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. You will join a small team of technicians and support testing, analysis and reporting in the support of Core Production operations.

What you’ll be doing:
* Providing chemistry analysis and reporting;
* Supporting routine analysis of samples from Core Production operations;
* Assisting with producing risk and COSHH assessments;
* Authoring work instructions;
* Carrying out general laboratory duties;
* Ensuring safe use and storage of chemicals.
Who we are looking for:
* Practical Laboratory Testing Experience;
* Scientific Qualification;
* An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems;
* Experience using Microsoft/Database Systems.
Shift working
This role will involve shift working up to and including 3 shift 7 day cover (Mornings/Afternoons/Days).

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business, an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets, a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
