Our client, a globally renowned financial services firm with global reach, has exclusively mandated the Barclay Simpson CoSec recruitment team to search for an experienced professional to join their London team at the Deputy Company Secretary level.
The firm is entrenched in the financial services world and offers a wide spectrum of offerings in this space.
Joining a small collegiate team of highly skilled professionals you will be working on a variety of matters from day one. It is important to note that the firm are keen to find someone who they think can eventually take on the Company Secretary position.
The main responsibilities for this individual include but are not limited to:
* Acting as the Secretary of a number of UK FCA regulated and non-regulated entities and various Group Committees, including setting agendas, distributing papers in electronic form, and ensuring that meetings are conducted in a legally compliant fashion and in a timely manner.
* Minuting of board and committee meetings.
* Advising board directors and committee members on their legal and corporate responsibilities and matters of corporate governance.
* Recommending and implementing corporate governance changes and ensuring that the companies comply with all applicable legal, statutory and governance requirements, as well as best practice.
* Being a subject matter expert and providing support and advice to the business in a Company Secretarial capacity.
Listed experience is not an absolute necessity for this position but it is imperative that the candidate comes from a strong FS background and is eager to roll their sleeves up and help out the team when needed.
