Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager for our new Community Enhanced Rehabilitation Team (CERT). This is an exciting time for our rehab services as we are developing our rehab pathways and community provision, and this role will support this development.
The Service Manager will provide strong operational leadership and clinical support to maintain and drive high quality patient centred care, operational targets such as training and supervision and support staff wellbeing and development.
You will have the ability to lead a team; contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence with a particular emphasis on recovery with the patient journey, clinical outcomes and patient experience being at the heart of what you do.
You will be a strong but compassionate leader advocating and supporting staff wellbeing and development.

Main duties of the job
To provide operational management (and clinical support where appropriate) to the Community Rehabilitation Team.
Input into Service Improvement including the current rehabilitation transformation. There will be an interface with our inpatient rehabilitation unit and an expectation to cover operationally on occasion.
To lead the service and promote a culture based on principles of recovery, co-production, choice, and personalised care, in which the service users (and where agreed, carers) can expect to be active in decision-making about their care and treatment.
To work in an effective partnership with a strong multi-disciplinary leadership model, utilising the support of Heads of Nursing, Clinical Practice Lead, and the Area Service Manager.
To co-ordinate the management of the operational team, ensuring and delivering effective training, ongoing professional development and professional supervision is maintained for all staff.
To effectively manage staff allocation to ensure safe staffing based on national guidance and appropriate skill-mix ensuring maintenance of standards of care that support safe high-quality practice.
To be responsible for the monitoring of budgets for the community team.
To coordinate and facilitate clinical governance and lead on planning the accreditation process, including meeting standards, training, environment and patient care and feedback.

12. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or AHP, with relevant post registration experience of working with people with severe mental health problems
13. Supervision training /student mentoring qualification
