Residential Support Workers for Children's Services Needed
Randstad are recruiting for ongoing temporary support workers to staff various children's residential care homes. The main purpose of this role will be to promote independent living, encourage routine and provide discipline. Experience working within this sector is essential, experience working with children with challenging behaviour advantageous. The young people have been through traumatic experiences during their lives and as a result of this can have very severe behaviour issues so we need someone that would be very confident in dealing with this. They can sometimes tend to self harm and try to escape the placements. You would need to have experience in de escalation techniques and restraint training is preferred. Experience and training in working with young people with autism is also preferred.
We have a consistent flow of excellent and rewarding opportunities for candidates with extensive experience working with looked after children with mental health challenges and behavioural challenges who require caring, compassion and dedicated professionals to support them.
An enhanced DBS on the update service is required. If you don't have this we can put this in motion at a charge of £44. You also need to be registered with Social Care Wales.
