Position Overview: As a Dental Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive oral care to our patients. Working closely with our experienced dental team, you will be responsible for performing a range of dental procedures and treatments to promote oral health and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dental Treatment:
o Conduct routine dental examinations and assessments.
o Provide preventive dental care, including scaling and polishing.
o Administer fluoride treatments and apply fissure sealants.
o Carry out restorative procedures, such as placing fillings.
2. Periodontal Care:
o Perform periodontal assessments and treatment.
o Provide advice on oral hygiene practices and demonstrate proper techniques.
o Educate patients on the importance of maintaining good gum health.
3. Patient Communication:
o Establish rapport with patients and create a comfortable dental experience.
o Clearly communicate treatment plans, options, and post-treatment care instructions.
o Address patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
4. Collaboration with Dental Team:
o Work collaboratively with dentists, dental hygienists, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
o Participate in case discussions and treatment planning meetings.
5. Record Keeping:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
o Document treatment plans, procedures performed, and patient communications.
Qualifications:
* Diploma in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution.
* Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Proven experience as a Dental Therapist.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
