We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver on behalf of our prestigious client based in Andover. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that the right products are delivered to our clients.
About the Role:
As a Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our client’s warehouse operations. This role will involve a variety of tasks, including:
1. Picking customer orders, getting items ready for delivery, goods in, organising stock within the warehouse, loading, and unloading vans and HGVs.
2. Maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Picking Customer Orders:
Accurately pick items from designated locations based on pick lists and ensure they are ready for delivery.
2. Getting Items Ready for Delivery:
Safely and securely pack items into appropriate packaging materials, following specific guidelines to prevent damage during transit.
3. Goods In:
Receive incoming goods, check the quality and accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
4. Organising Stock within the Warehouse:
Ensure that all stock is properly organised and stored in designated locations.
5. Loading and Unloading Vans and HGVs:
Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
6. Maintaining Cleanliness:
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
7. Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following safe working practices.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 18:00 or 09:30 – 19:30
Requirements:
* Previous experience within a warehouse role.
* Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
